Power capacitors for cos phi. correction and for High Voltage Harmonic filtering, are produced in accordance to international standard IEC 871, with container/box of stainless steel and porcelain bushings.
Basically it exists two kinds, depending on the connection that we are going to carry out.
Single phase (1 or 2 bushings) with internal fuses.
3 phases (3 bushings) with internal fuses for direct connexion to the network.
Reactive power LV compensation capacitors
Lifasa power capacitors are dry capacitors, and consequently ecologic. It doesn't exist the possibility of liquid loses.
Elements are totally encapsulated in resin thermally-hardened , with high dielectric properties, without impregnation.
Elements are connected together to obtain the desired reactive power, and they are assembled into boxes or metallic cans. Empty spaces are fulfilled with a non flammable inert material from mineral composition. Each element is protected individually.
